They're alright, they sound pretty decent but they lack the all-round quality of the models in this video. They are going to be in my 'best budget bass' video coming up, which is basically a review of the KZ Xtra with a bit tagged on for the A&D and the Soundpeats Engine4

@@ReganCipher I ordered them and plan to use EQ. I always use eq for my iems and headphones. But what you're doing here is great. Not many reviewers for TWS iems. My daily is a Thieaudio Prestige LTD but for work I'd like something wireless as I'm always on the move. I've tried the Noble Audio Fokus Prestige/Mystique/Triumph & Hifiman Svanar/LE/JR. Some claim they're some of the best sound quality wise you could get. While I do think they sound great, I just find it hard to spend that much on something I know over time will become outdated and possibly I may lose. If only there were things cheaper but that could give sound quality far surpasing they're price. But for you? If money is out of the picture. No issue. What do you feel is the best TWS for sound quality, no matter the price? ☺️

Thank you! For all the reasons that you've said there, I don't tend to pick up too many expensive TWS. Aside the very valid observations you've made, I don't think the sound comes close to wired IEMs yet. The lack of room in the shell due to battery, main board, chipset and mics means there's less opportunity to control the airflow to manipulate the sound. I think it will take something quite monumental to really take wireless to the next level - we've had xMEMS drivers and (kinda) lossless codecs and we're moving in the right direction, but there's still quite a gap. Of the big names, the only one I spent a fair bit of time testing was the Technics AZ80, and it was a great experience, but not a huge chasm ahead of the well-performing budget buds for sound alone. So to compare them to the A&D as an example, the AZ80 have given you control over practically everything via their app, and the app experience is very polished and intuitive. You get loads of eartips in the box, fit tests, etc. As an all-round media device, it's just fantastic, and the audio is good, but not earth shatteringly good. I wouldn't say it's, for example, 4 times better than the audio on the A&D, but the user experience in terms of ANC, call quality, usability, multipoint, etc - that's what you're paying for on buds like these. So probably I didn't really answer your question 😭 but with wireless I tend to go with what fits me well, and then like you say just EQ from there. I use the Samsung Galaxy Buds FE a lot, because they have a nice dynamic sound out of the box, and when I want something warmer I use the QCY HT05, but for pure audio almost always I'll go for wired

On the 4? It does seem that way. Supports auracast but doesn't let me select the LC3 codec 😭

​@@ReganCipher Both. I read on a forum that they are working on the LC3 support for the 3's and as for 4 the website says: "Auracast™ & LE Audio supported : available via firmware update only."

I had to size up on the eartips to get a comfortable fit. I usually use medium, but had to go for large. The Realme fit a bit shallower than the Buds FE so if it's the depth that bothers you, that might solve the problem

Just FYI all Xiaomi buds and headsets work best only with smartphones under HyperOS(MIUI), but there are unofficial app in playmarket, so let me know if you need any help with it. Also I using 1More Sonoflow right now, on the level with mx4 by sound, has less program features but you can find them around 50usd

MST sounds better, p20i is louder and has better battery

@JMsportscards p20i has the most bass, but it's a bit flabby. MST has the best textured bass and the best balance between subbass and midbass. HT05 and HT08 (the newer, better version) are more midbass than subbass so it won't hit as deep as the MST. HT08 cuts the low midrange to make the bass sound quicker and punchier. Just depends what you like I suppose but I like both MST and QCY depending on which type of music I'm listening to etc

I haven't tried that Skullcandy model but the others I tried were just way too bloated and bassy. The Creative are quite balanced sounding so unless you just like loads of bass and aren't too bothered about quality I'd probably go for them

There is a difference in the sound and the ANC is stronger, but if you get chance watch and listen to the Binaural sound tests, because it will probably explain the differences better than I can!

No, you can't have two apps running simultaneously and each app is only capable of doing one thing at a time (translating only)

Thank you! You need a flatter eartip with the HT08, something like the ones that come with the Soundpeats Air4 Pro. I have a few third party tips, I'll try them with the Melobuds Pro and let you know, but if you measure the height of the stock eartips and go for something a bit grippier, that should do the trick

Not the same though - the padding is better on the Haylou, the clamping force isn't as tight and the earcups are a different shape and size

These are just budget headphones with a straightforward sound and moderate staging. It's the same for low cost budget headphones. The wired element is simply helpful when you lose battery - I don't think it's unfair to say it's nowhere near the experience you get from using a midrange set of headphones or IEMs. Wired headphones (or IEMs) aren't multi-purpose - there's no requirement for battery or built-in microphones or chipsets etc, therefore the manufacturers have room to manipulate the drivers through airflow etc and create a sense of depth or soundstage. You just don't have that in primarily wireless headphones, so it's a little too much to talk about technical performance when it's fairly lowest common denominator stuff on all of them

EW200 are better for gaming and probably for movies too

Probably close enough. As you can see in the scoring matrix, the differences between these buds in terms of detail retrieval are very small

@@ReganCipher thank you because I love the look and volume control on the One Plus so it's not a Big deal to go with anyone of them

I prefer the shape of the OPB3 too. The minor differences in sound and ANC don't bother me too much, I still use them more than the Realme

L4 NC ANC is miles stronger and the customisation and app experience is much better, but Earfree i3 sounds better out of the box
